THE MASSACRE AT BLACK DIVIDE

SHORT FILM

Set in the year 1881, The Massacre at Black Divide is a classic western tale, with a sci-fi twist.  Two men who have a chance encounter in the California wilderness.  One man believes the other to be the infamous outlaw Thomas Vandeford and takes him prisoner, until he can prove his identity.  Tension builds as he questions whether his hostage is innocent… or is indeed the deadly outlaw he is hunting.

CAMP ABERCORN

TV PILOT

Pack your boots – we’re off to camp!  Jeff teams up with EP Matt Andrew, EP/director/writer Jeffrey Simon, and writer Meg Grgurich in scoring the music to the coming-of-age television pilot CAMP ABERCORN.  The show tackles LGBT issues within an historic American institution, the Compass Guides of America.  With a strong acoustic palette, Jeff helps bring to life the spirit felt when huddled around the campfire as a id, gazing up at the stars wondering what life had in store for us.

KANTEMIR

Jeff visits the darker corners of his world of sound in his original score for the Indie Chi Productions feature film KANTEMIR, starring Robert Englund (A Nightmare on Elm StreetFear ClinicFreddy vs. Jason).  A cast of actors are invited to a mansion to rehearse and play out their parts according to a centuries-old play… that’s haunted.  They each taken on a new persona that is anything but safe as time runs out to stay alive.

 

 

CONSTANT

FEATURE FILM

Constant is a cerebral drama, taking advantage of real-life scientific data and vernacular, and fictionalizing it in a way similar to films like PrimerInterstellar, and Contact.  The short film/proof-of-concept is currently in post-production, during which Jeff is scoring original music for it, as the feature film is being written.  Jeff scored and designed the sound for the concept trailer, below.

 
 
 

 

MATCHBREAKERS

SHORT FILM

Jeff joins forces with filmmakers Cameron Beyl and Kyle Andrews in the short comedy MATCHBREAKERS.  When Nick arrives at a friend’s, expecting a poker night with the boys, he quickly learns he’s been set up… for an extremely awkward blind date and dinner party.  Lies are dug up and truths are revealed as hilarious and cringe-worthy events guide the night.  Click here to watch MATCHBREAKERS online, for free!

 

 

THE HIKE

Be sure to bring plenty of water… and a gun, if you intend to survive THE HIKE.  Written, produced and directed by Dave Fugett (who also stars in the film), this suspense thriller follows a couple on the verge of separation as they meet up for one final pastime.  Little do they know, they’ve just entered a most dangerous game.

 

 

CANE CREEK

SHORT FILM

With a wandering acoustic guitar, drunken violin and some southern humming, Jeff teams up with actor/director Matt Godfrey to tell a short story about a young man torn between the demand of his friend and that of the family business.  Drugs, guns and a dark southern forest… tread lightly.
